By placing a booking with Unloch Scotland, you agree:

*That the person placing the booking is over 18 years of age.

*That the accommodation is used for holiday purposes only, and by the guests named on the booking.

*That the maximum number of guests per hut is two people (of minimum age 18 years).

*That third-party visitors are not allowed.

*That pets are not allowed.

*That the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation or non-arrival.

*That the person making the booking may be held responsible for any damages caused to the hut and its surroundings as a result of their negligence.

*To respect the peace and quiet of our rural surroundings.

The proprietors reserve the right to refuse a booking or repossess a hut where, in their opinion, damage has been or is likely to be caused by the guests. 

The proprietor reserves the right to enter the accommodation at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or repair.

Holiday Insurance

We recommend that all guests hold appropriate holiday insurance.

We will retain lost property for a period of one month after your stay.  We will endeavour to notify you that you have left items with us.  We take no responsibility for replacing lost items.

Making a Booking

To secure your booking via Airbnb, please comply with the payment terms specified on their website. Cancellations of Airbnb bookings will be according to the terms specified by Airbnb.

If booking direct with Unloch Scotland, we require 50% of your fee by bank transfer to secure your booking. For direct bookings, balances are due at least 30 days before arrival.  Non-payment of the balance by the due date will be assumed as a cancellation, which will forfeit your deposit.  Cancellations of direct bookings made fewer than 30 days before your arrival are non-refundable.

Cancellations & Alterations

For Airbnb bookings, please adhere to their cancellation policy as specified on their website.

For direct bookings, please make any cancellations by email to office@unlochscotland.com at least 30 days before your arrival. All direct bookings are provisional until confirmed by an email from Unloch Scotland. Direct bookings can only be made via bank transfer.

In the rare event that we may need to cancel your booking with us, the law of ‘force majeure’ applies.  This could include adverse weather conditions such as violent storms or heavy snowfall which would make travelling a serious risk.  Our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment you have already made to us. 

All Airbnb refunds will be returned as per Airbnb policy. All direct booking refunds will be returned to the bank account specified by the payee.

Check in/out times

Check in is from 4.00pm to 6.00pm on day of arrival.

Check out is by 11.00am on day of departure.

Minimum stay: 1 night

Maximum stay: 14 nights

Price: For Airbnb, the per night price is as per their seasonal pricing structure. Please check availability for your dates to obtain the latest rates. For direct bookings, the cost is £150.00 per night. Email us at office@unlochscotland.com to book direct via bank transfer.

Please keep huts locked and secure when unoccupied, and return the key to the lock safe prior to departure.

Parking

We provide off-road, gated parking for one standard-sized vehicle per hut.  We can fit one motorhome in our parking area with advance notice.  Vehicles, their accessories and contents are left at their owner’s risk.

Gates and Access

Guests are requested to abide by the signage denoting Private and Guest areas, and to respect our neighbours, the surrounding livestock, our wildlife and community. 

Guests are politely requested to keep gates closed when not in use.

WiFi

We provide free WiFi access for our guests.  Please note that Assynt is a remote area and WiFi is provided by satellite service.  It is insufficient for media streaming, gaming and large downloads/uploads.  Usage of our network for illegal activity is strictly prohibited. 4G coverage in the local area is good.

Pets

Sorry, we do not allow pets at our accommodation.  If travelling with your pet, please seek out alternative local pet-friendly accommodation. 

Pets cannot be left in vehicles overnight at Unloch Scotland.  We take animal welfare extremely seriously and will report this.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your accommodation, or experience a problem with which you need assistance, please contact us as soon as possible and we will endeavour to help in any way we can.
